Ridgewood Ranch Tours

Join us as we take a step back in time this summer and tour the historic Ridgewood Ranch - Home of Seabiscuit. The Willits Chamber of Commerce, Christ’s Church of the Golden Rule, and the Mendocino County Museum invite you to "come on down to the ranch!"

Visit the special place that Seabiscuit, the amazing champion racehorse that captured the hearts of Americans in the '30s and '40s, called home! Space is limited and is by reservation only, on a first-come-first-served basis.  Please apply early, because space is NOT guaranteed. 

Tours are from 9am to noon and are held rain or shine! No animals allowed on tour.  Tours not recommended for children under 5 years old.  Participants should be able to easily traverse slightly uneven terrain.  Reservation cancellations are accepted up to one week prior to the tour date.

Special Diamond Tour & Private Reception
Celebrating Seabiscuit's 75th Birthday
May 24, 2008

The May 24, 2008 "DIAMOND TOUR & PRIVATE RECEPTION", (9am—12pm) celebrating Seabiscuit's 75th Birthday, will include a ranch walking tour, unveiling of a Seabiscuit mini statue and carriage rides.  A private reception including a silent auction, wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, as well as entertainment by Dora Street Brass will be held at the Mendocino County Museum in Willits (1pm-4pm).  Proceeds are to benefit the Howard Hospital & Seabiscuit Heritage Foundations.
