Willits Farmers' Market

Every Thursday, the Willits Farmers' Market is a community gathering featuring tons of produce, a wide selection of meat, cheese, eggs, honey and locally produced crafts of all sorts. Natural body products, jewelry, clothing and bags are some of the items on the list.

Food for a picnic or take-home dinner includes Kashaya's Brick Oven Pizza, Luna's enticing raw foods, baked goods from the Garden Bakery, Sweetie Pies' handmade pies, and toffee by Toffee Nana.

At the center of it all is live music from the Willlits Farmers' Market Band, the Dogwood Creek String Band, and a variety of visiting musicians. Join the festivities and be prepared to stay to meet and greet your neighbors and get a taste for Willits.

The market is open rain or shine! We gladly accept WIC coupons and EBT/Food Stamps.

Sewing, Knitting & Chrochet Circle @ Little Lake Grange

The community is invited to the Sewing, Knitting & Chrochet Circle at the Little Lake Grange, 291 School Street in Willits on Thursday afternoons from 3pm to 5:30pm in Room 10 during the Winter Farmer's Market (January - April).  Come sew or knit together...let's make new friends, share talent, technique and style! 

Bring your current project or some yarn, hooks, needles if you have them and want to learn something new. Hand-sewing and mending is also great "circle" work.  We still could use yarn donations of any kind and amount.

There are also sewing machines and materials available in Room 10.

Annual Easte Bake Sale @ Harrah Senior Center

The Annual Easter Bake Sale will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Harrah Senior Center, 1501 Baechtel Road, Willits from 8:30a.m. until the baked goodies are gone.

There will be all kinds of baked goodies for sale; pies, fudge, brownies, cakes, candies, cookies, etc.

The Bake Sale will benefit the Willits Senior Center's Outreach Department.

Willits Community Theatre Presents - "The Dining Room"

The Willits Community Theatre presents, The Dining Room, one of A.R. Gurney's most eloquent plays, at the Willits Community Theatre Playhouse, 37 W. Van Lane in Willits.  The production will run from Friday, April 18 through Sunday, May 4, 2014.

First produced off Broadway three decades ago, the play is directed by Maria Monti and shows the deterioration of New England WASP culture from the 1930s to the 1980s. In her directorial debut at WCT, Monti has worked with a cast of six actors to portray a broad range of more than 50 different characters on stage in a series of satirical and often touching vignettes. Monti has previously acted in numerous productions in Mendocino and Napa counties, and has directed for the Festival of New Plays at Mendocino College. She says of The Dining Room, “It’s about relationships, good or bad, and what we all experience or have experienced whether we’re dealing with sibling rivalry, a family crisis, affairs of the heart, or questions of conscience.”

The play runs from April 18 to May 4, with shows on Thursdays at 7pm for $10, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm for $15 and Sunday matinees at 2pm for $10.
